- Drive innovation in curriculum and research by promoting initiatives in areas such as AI and machine learning, sustainable energy systems, advanced communications, quantum computing, and biomedical devices.
- Cultivate and expand cross-disciplinary collaborations, strengthen industry and corporate partnerships, and develop local and global networks of support that reflect the needs of 21st-century employers.
- Oversee undergraduate and graduate programs, ensuring academic excellence, accreditation compliance, and relevance to the future of the profession.
- Recruit, retain, mentor, and promote outstanding and diverse faculty and staff.
- Manage departmental resources, operations, and budgets effectively and responsibly.
- Partner with the Dean and University leadership on policy development and strategic priorities.
- Lead and support fundraising and external engagement efforts to enhance the department?s visibility and resources.
