We are looking for a seasoned building systems conservation specialist experienced at conducting energy audits for mid to large commercial customers. In this role you will provide oversight and manage OUC energy and water efficiency commercial non-prescriptive rebates/incentives. Interact with customers to discuss the efficiency opportunities and program requirements. Monitor performance of sustainability programs and ensure OUC and program goals are met.

The ideal candidate will have:
Associate’s Degree in Energy Management from an accredited college or university or technical degree. Two (2) years of additional experience (as described below) may replace each year short of the education requirement
Minimum of six (6) years of experience in energy engineering or energy management
Must have a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification, or at the time of hire, must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain the CEM, and maintain the credential after certification
LEED Green Associate or Building Operator Certification (preferred)
Working knowledge of the following:
Florida building codes and engineering/architectural drawings;
ASHRAE standards & efficiency ratings;
Use auditor tools (fluke, fieldpiece, DMM, Magnehelic, power analyzers, light sensors, etc.);
Modeling Software (i.e. eQUEST – DOE Modeling Software, etc.);
Valid FL Driver’s License

Job Purpose:
Responsible for conducting energy audits for mid to large commercial customers. Provide oversight and manage OUC energy and water efficiency commercial non-prescriptive rebates/incentives. Monitor performance of sustainability programs and ensure OUC and program goals are met.
Primary Functions:
Analyze business processes of OUC’s commercial customers through on-site inspections with utility consumption analysis tools;
Recommend implementation of measures and operational changes; perform cost benefit calculations for OUC’s commercial customers;
Collaborate with OUC Corporate Sustainability & Facilities on OUC portfolio of buildings.
Aggregate and report on measurement and verification data to validate progress towards goal attainment;
Provide guidance for database management, monitoring, analysis, and reporting;
Perform pre/ post inspections to ensure program standards are met;
Interact with customers to discuss the efficiency opportunities and program requirements;
Actively engage OUC commercial customers for energy and water audits and program participation;
Process incentive applications for customers; provide approvals within correct range;
Provide input into the development of reasonable energy and water reduction goals;
Mentor and guide junior team members;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Requirements:
Working knowledge of all, but not limited to, the following:
EnergyStar Portfolio Manager;
Energy and water assessment reports;
Florida building codes and engineering/architectural drawings;
ASHRAE standards & efficiency ratings;
American National Standards Institute (ANSI);
Modeling Software (i.e. eQUEST – DOE Modeling Software, etc.);
BEQ (Building Energy Quotient) – ASHRAE Efficiency Rating;
Familiarity with all, but not limited to, the following:
Software Application (i.e., CC&B);
Related industry, organizational and departmental policies, practices and procedures; legal guidelines, ordinances and laws;
Ability to:
Use auditor tools (fluke, fieldpiece, DMM, Magnehelic, power analyzers, light sensors, etc.);
Efficiently analyze data and report generation;
Make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, and compute rates, ratios, and percentages;
Use Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and standard office equipment (computer, telephone, copier, etc.).

Working Conditions:
Involves occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements (dust, heat, fumes, cold, noise, vibration, etc.) and accidents are improbable other than minor injuries. This job may involve very frequent working in outdoor weather conditions and with insects. This job may require working frequently near moving mechanical parts, around fumes and airborne particles, and with risk of electricals shock. This job may require occasional wet/ humid conditions, working in high places or confined areas.
Physical Requirements:
This job consists of very frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to twenty (20) lbs., bending, stooping, speaking and hearing. This job also consists of very frequent typing, writing, detailed inspection and driving a company vehicle. This job may consist of frequent lifting up to forty (40) lbs., pushing, pulling, reaching over head, kneeling, crawling, and/ or climbing. This job may require occasional sitting.
