What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.

Responsibilities
Lead and perform technical hands on projects related to SAP upgrade, implementation, Enhancements including SAP applications (ERP 6.0, S42021/S42022 Hana)
Daily administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning of a complex SAP production environment.
Planning, installation, and maintenance of SAP software
Implementation of SAP at an enterprise level and performing migrations
Monitoring with both ad-hoc tools and automated scripts or procedures
Support/recommend reporting, query and analysis tools ensuring efficient SAP/database utilization
Diagnosis of problems and resolution for SAP systems
Modification of system level configuration to optimize performance
Working closely with SAP application teams and other Infrastructure teams
Interface with developers and modelers for performance and data access requirements
Development of standards and procedures for the SAP environment
Consultation with infrastructure teams on configuration best practices etc.
Stay current with SAP technology developments and techniques, research new software and tools, proactively recommend improvements
Creates and maintains accurate documentation & Provides support to the SAP application team during development and implementation projects.
Qualifications
8-12 years of experience, preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Functional expertise in the areas of Procure to Pay (PTP), supply chain(SCE) and Material management (MM) with interface background.
Experience in designing solutions in SAP and configuring SAP MM, LE module preferred
Experience in implementing SAP in large scale implementations preferred
Strong configuration experience in SAP MM & LE to support the following functions - Purchasing, Master data, Pricing, Inventory management, Accounts payable, Outbound deliveries to WMS, Goods Receipt, Supplier Returns, Receiving, ASN, IDOC, Supplier EDI, 3PL preferred
Strong integration skills with SAP modules SD, MM, FI and with external ERP systems preferred
Hands on experience gathering requirements and creating functional specs preferred
Proficiency with ASAP (Accelerated SAP) Waterfall and Agile methodologies preferred.
Ability to navigate through the SDLC process preferred
