Program Information
The School of Biomedical Sciences and Health Care Administration offers programs in Biomedical Sciences and Health Care Administration. The Health Care Administration programs help develop basic business principles and tools that students need for effective business decision-making in a health care setting.
Job Summary
With responsibility for the supervision of the internship training of students, the Internship Coordinator (Clinical Assistant Professor) position will oversee the internship placements of students in the Masters of Health Care Administration (MHA) program in conjunction with the MHA Program Director. This is an independent position requiring expertise in health care systems management and leadership structures. Additionally, this position must be able to leverage current, and develop new, relationships with senior and executive level health care leaders to secure ongoing internship placements for long-term support of the MHA program students preparing to enter the workforce. This position must coordinate and collaborate with multiple healthcare systems and related fields to ensure a robust experience for terminal students of the MHA program.
In addition, the Internship Coordinator (Clinical Assistant Professor) position will teach classes with the Health Care Administration program. The position will prepare and maintain course outlines and objectives, instructing students and evaluating their assignments and progress.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Health Care Administration
Minimum of 3 years of health care related experience.
History of health care organization relationship building.
Experience with program coordination.

4 or more years of health care administration experience.
Expertise in the development and maintenance of academic-practice partnerships.
Familiarity with electronic learning management and internship placement systems (ex: Viewpoint, My Clinical Exchange, Canvas, Microsoft).
