The Opportunity WSDOT is currently seeking an engineering professional with a proven background in traffic operations and a strong focus on safety to serve as the Traffic Operations Engineer (TE3). As the Traffic Operations Engineer, you will supervise the region’s Field Assessment, Operational Assessment, Motorist Information, and Outdoor Advertising Control Programs. You will be responsible for ensuring that the region's signing and striping conform to the requirements of the current MUTCD and WSDOT publications, developing and leading a team that conducts operational reviews, including signing, striping, speed limits, and work zone traffic control; and interpreting the results of these reviews to make adjustments and develop projects.
