The Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University has an exciting career opportunity for an associate or full professor within the Department of Management. The position will begin Fall semester of 2024. The anticipated employment start date is August 15, 2024. We are seeking candidates who are committed to publishing high-quality research in top journals, providing leadership in Ph.D. programs, including teaching periodic Ph.D. courses and chairing Ph.D. student dissertations.

Required materials include a cover letter, CV, statement of research interests, two recent samples of research, names and contact information of at least three references, your record of experience with SAP and your work with business leaders, and evidence of teaching excellence such as teaching evaluations, awards, or innovations. Applications will be accepted until November 30, 2023, or until the position is filled. The screening will begin immediately.
Applicants should indicate which conferences they will be attending this year. Members of the search committee and other faculty members will be available to meet with selected candidates at INFORMS and Decision Sciences conferences. Preliminary interviews may also be conducted via Zoom.
The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to teach at a high-level consistent with The Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business standards. An initial responsibility of this position will be to work with business leaders and current faculty to create a comprehensive Value Chain signature program. Salary and benefits are competitive.
Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in operations management, supply chain management, or a closely related field. The academic rank (associate professor, or professor) and compensation will be based on candidate qualifications. Candidates should have an established record of excellence in research, such as publications in top journals that demonstrate methodological and supply chain management expertise. Preference will be given to those applicants whose research enhances and extends those of the existing faculty and leverages the benefits of being in a large interdisciplinary department. Demonstrated capability in incorporating SAP into SCM classes and working with business leaders to enhance the undergraduate classroom experience will be a plus.
