The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Health Professions Department of Health Services Administration announces an opening for a full-time (tenured or tenure accruing) faculty position for our undergraduate and graduate programs.
We seek applications from innovative, motivated, and engaged individuals who are committed to growing our research and scholarship in healthcare quality and safety, healthcare management and strategy, or outcomes/health services research. The ideal candidate will have expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas: health care strategy, marketing, or leadership, quality improvement, patient safety and human factors, implementation science or outcomes research. The ideal candidate will have earned a terminal degree in a relevant discipline and have developed a teaching and research portfolio. Salary, rank, and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
UAB’s Department of Health Services Administration offers two doctoral programs, and masters degrees in Healthcare Quality and Safety (CAHME accredited), Health Informatics (CAHIIM accredited), Health Administration (CAHME-accredited, ranked #1 in the nation by US News and World Report), and Healthcare Simulation (one of a few in the nation). We also have a large, AUPHA-certified undergraduate program in Health Care Management and we create and conduct tailored continuing education programs within the field of practice.
