Alamo Group Inc. is currently accepting applications to fill an Operator Safety Training Manager position at its Corporate Headquarters in Seguin, TX (25 miles east of San Antonio, TX).
As a member of the Corporate Technical Affairs and Safety Team, the Operator Safety Training Manager will develop, coordinate, deliver, and markets Alamo Group external and online-based operator safety training for equipment manufactured by Alamo Group Companies to Alamo Group customers and equipment users. This manager must be an energetic, passionate self-starter who can engage training course participants. In addition, this manager needs to effectively market this program to customers to grow the business and expand the product training offerings.
Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college or university, preferably in engineering, science, or technical field or a non-technical degree with equivalent equipment experience.
2-5 years of experience developing interactive web-based training programs using various software, such as Adobe Captivate or similar.
5-10 years of experience delivering training to adult learners, preferably to equipment operators who use right-of-way maintenance equipment (e.g., boom and rotary mowers), agricultural machinery/implements (including ZTR lawn mowers), and industrial equipment (e.g., vacuum trucks, street sweepers, excavators, grinders, snowplows/removal equipment, etc.). Extensive knowledge and experience in the operation of these types of is highly desired.
5-10 years business management or departmental management experience preferred.
Experience in marketing training programs and growing those businesses preferred, including the development of online registration and marketing websites and portals.
Experience with developing or utilizing equipment operation simulators preferred.
