This job oversees the conduct and daily operations of biomedical research projects in collaboration with physicians or lead scientists. Works independently and conducts research experiments with minimum supervision; oversees and coordinates all aspects of research specimen collection, processing, and analysis as necessary; makes detailed observations, analyzes data, and interprets results; prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses; maintains familiarity with current scientific literature and contributes to the process of a project within his or her scientific discipline, as well as investigating, creating, and developing new methods and technologies for project advancement; 5) writes grants and secures extramural funding; prepares research manuscripts, scientific reviews, abstracts and posters for publication or presentation; and participates in scientific conferences, seminars and training programs.

Communicates with and presents plans/projects to team members.
Stays current with scientific and medical literature related to research projects.
Organizes and publishes research data in the form of abstracts, presentations and journal or book articles.
Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
Performs other related duties as required.
Required - Doctoral degree (MD, PhD, DO).
Preferred - PhD in a biomedical or health related field.
Required - 1 year of related laboratory or clinical research experience.
Preferred - Prior experience in outcomes, health services or translational research involving human cells, tissues or patients.
