The Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics-Pediatric Hospital Medicine, University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, Tampa is seeking a physician who is Board Certified or eligible in Pediatrics for a full-time, non-academic Pediatric Hospital Physician. The position is primarily clinical, however, there is a potential to be involved in resident teaching. Hospitalist board certification is not required but strongly preferred. Duties include inpatient and outpatient care and may involve a small medical student education component. A Florida medical license will be required prior to assuming the position. The appointment is non-tenure earning and salary is negotiable. This position is based at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa, Florida.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position includes the management of pediatric patients at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital and coverage of the Chronic Complex Clinic at St. Joseph's Hospital. Responsible for providing direct medical care to patients in a hospital or medical clinic. Typically reports to the head of a medical department. Typical duties include the diagnosis, treatment, operation, or prescription for any human disease, pain, injury, deformity, or other physical or mental condition. Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM: Medical/Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization. The successful candidate must have a medical degree, and be board certified or eligible in pediatrics. Candidates must have a current medical license or be eligible for an unrestricted full medical license in the state of Florida.
PREFERRED: Inpatient hospital experience. Board-certified or board eligible in pediatric hospital medicine.
