Join an exceptional Life Sciences team that is leading the response to an exponentially growing install base. We are looking to build out Echo MS support pre- and post-sales team to enhance the overall customer experience and provide value to our customers in addressing their high throughput analytical mass spectrometry assays.
This position will support the business development team by collaborating with customers and sales to design, test automation systems and model their workflows in automation software. This position will also serve to provide on-site integration, customer training and post-sales support of automated workflows by phone and in person when required.
Primary Responsibilities:

Create CAD layouts as requested by the pre-sales team to demonstrate workflow solutions.

Be primary technical support for our Automated system install base.

Learn and be able to support automated systems and customizations across Echo MS product portfolio.

Work with SCIEX automation partners to ensure proper automation workflows and demonstration of the solution

Be an active and expert user in Automation and workflow software used by the Echo MS team, and learn/document software customizations. Use this skill to design and build software simulations and consult with customers on technical solutions.

Serve as in house subject matter expert in order to address any questions related to process and protocol that may arise during daily operation of equipment by field service teams, in house engineering team, or technical support.

Work with pre-sales team to prepare technical documentation (and/or quotes) as assigned to describe automated solutions.

Work with Project Management team to communicate customer requirements for system build and prevent scope creep.

Answer technical support questions regarding system performance, automation software capabilities, and coordinate technical information from third party vendors where required. Work with technical support team directly as a subject matter expert and with customers as requested by the service team for advanced issues.

Manage all issues/projects assigned and ensure customer has a satisfactory solution or outcome.

Perform onsite automation software training for system support immediately after the sale.

Work with service team to ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing install base training.
Required Experience / Education
- BS degree in a Life Sciences discipline or Engineering degree is required.
- Five or more years of professional work experience using automated robotics within a Life Science or Pharmaceutical high throughput laboratory or with an automation vendor, preferably in a project team environment.
- Design experience with CAD software like SolidWorks, Sketchup, AutoCad
- Experience with Robotics and Life Science Automation Workflow software commonly used in laboratories for drug discovery research (HTS in-vitro pharmacology or medicinal chemistry, compound management, ADME-Tox)
- Hands on understanding of instruments used in microplate based automation – liquid handlers, plate sealing and peeling, centrifuges, dispensers, barcode reading.
- Demonstrated ability to work with third party vendors for component design i.e. system tables, mounting hardware design, enclosure design.
- Ability to work onsite in the greater Boston / Framingham MA location , plus some limited travel. Relocation assistance can be considered
