In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.

Chief, Orthopedic Service, Department of Surgery
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is one of the world's premier cancer centers, committed to exceptional patient care, leading-edge research, and superb educational programs. The institution is a comprehensive cancer center whose purposes are the treatment and control of cancer, the advancement of biomedical knowledge through laboratory and clinical research, and the training of scientists, physicians and other health care workers.
The Department of Surgery is currently seeking a highly motivated and successful individual for Chief of Orthopedic Surgery to practice and oversee all clinical activities, provide leadership and support for all academic programs. The Chief will also serve as a faculty member of a strong academic training program, create policies that drive improvements in quality and safety, and continue to grow the robust Orthopedic Surgical Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The Orthopedic Surgical Service performs the full spectrum of orthopedic procedures. The surgeons of the Orthopedic Service are committed to providing the highest quality of care to patients with primary bone cancers and musculoskeletal soft tissue tumors, as well as metastatic bone tumors from breast, prostate, lung, and other cancers. The Service, led by Dr. John H. Healey since 1991, takes part in MSK's multidisciplinary approach to patient care, which includes surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, neurology, and plastic surgery to ensure the best disease and functional outcomes for patients. The ideal candidate would:
* Strong clinical leader with experience driving improvements in quality and safety
* Board certification in Orthopedics and fellowship training
* Commitment to academic excellence including prior experience in resident and fellow education and clinical research
* Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong clinical background, and keen understanding of how to drive and maintain clinical quality standards
* Licensed in the State of New York
