Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education – Institutional Review Board

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced professional who is equally good with people, compliance, and leadership to serve as the Institutional Review Board (IRB) Director for the University of Wisconsin-Madison IRB office. A key component of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) and a unit of the Office of Research Compliance, the IRB office supports the IRBs to oversee human subjects research conducted at UW-Madison. The IRBs review biomedical and health sciences research projects, as well as education and social behavioral research projects, to determine whether the research meets the federal criteria for approval. The office works closely with a variety of constituencies including researchers, IRB members, regulatory support staff, post-approval monitoring groups, and offices across campus that support the research community.

This position is eligible for a partial remote work schedule, allowing up to 40% of total hours per week as remote.
