The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is a private, freestanding academic medical center dedicated to leadership and excellence in patient care, research, education, and community service. MCW confers MD, PhD, MS, MPH, PharmD, and MA degrees. MCW employs more than 1,600 full-time and part-time faculty, in addition to more than 3,025 full-time staff, 335 part-time staff, and 310 project and limited-term employees. MCW faculty supervise approximately 670 physicians in residency training and 180 physicians in fellowship training through the MCW Affiliated Hospitals. MCW faculty staff several Milwaukee hospitals including the Children’s of Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, the Zablocki Veterans Affairs Hospital, and numerous primary care and specialty clinics. MCW has made substantial financial and intellectual commitments to creating and maintaining a strong research environment for superior research training. In the last ten years, MCW has made significant investments in developing its scientific infrastructure and faculty. The facilities are designed to launch MCW into the top-tier of research-oriented medical schools and clinical research in the nation. These include, but are not limited to, state-of-the-art research centers and institutes.
