Responsibilities:
The Product Regulatory Specialist is responsible for obtaining registrations and certification approvals for new and existing products, necessary to sell them to worldwide markets. Interfaces with cross-functional team members within the engineering, product management, laboratory, & sourcing groups to assure product compliance. Works with certification entities, regulatory agencies and independent laboratories. Prepares regulatory submissions and provides timely responses to questions in support of product approvals. Works to ensure all information provided is correct and accurate.
Specific Job Function:
- Work with Senior regulatory personnel to identify regulatory and product registration needs and requirements for new products
- Prepare product certification applications, supporting documentation, and physical samples for submission to independent testing laboratories
- Work with Senior regulatory & engineering personnel to coordinate testing (in-house pre-submittal qualification & testing at the certifying entities). Serve as technical liaison to obtain approvals.
- Support the preparation and submission of registration applications to states or agencies
- Maintain company databases for product registrations and associated documentation. Ensure website is up to date.
- Work with Engineering, Product Management and other functions to understand timelines and requirements for new product introductions and assure continued compliance with existing product lines.
- Work with 3rd party suppliers and manufacturers to coordinate necessary regulatory documentation for certifications. Help resolve non-compliance issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-5 years’ experience with domestic product registrations & certifications
- Possess a good understanding of regulatory processes
- Possess excellent organizational skills and written & verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of water treatment industry, and/or experience working with water standards & related testing procedures is a desired.
- CWS certification or completion of WQA Residential Water Treatment Design and Introduction to Water Contaminants & Treatment Certificate Course is required within first year in the position.
- Some travel may be required, up to 10%
