DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Artificial Intelligence Post-doctoral Research Fellow
SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: To conduct scientific studies related to medical image using artificial intelligence approaches.
CAREER LEVEL SUMMARY: Dr. Lili He's laboratory of Artificial Intelligence for Computer Aided Diagnosis (AI-CAD) at Imaging Research Center (IRC) is committed to lending the group's interdisciplinary expertise in computer science, medical imaging, biomedical engineering and biostatistics to facilitate major breakthroughs in the medical AI field by developing and validating robust clinically effective AI diagnostic tools for clinicians to use at the bedside to improve diagnosis, prediction, and prevention of patient outcomes for high-risk infants and children. We are now looking for talented and highly-motivated AI post-doctoral research fellows to join us. REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:SCOPE: Development and implementation of AI techniques, medical image/data analysis.
Representative Responsibilities - Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art AI techniques; reproduce and apply existing algorithms/methods/models for medical applications.
- Innovate and advance AI techniques; evaluate and improve AI algorithms/methods/models currently used.
- Establish and validate algorithms/methods/models to create clinically meaningful AI tools that involve medical images.
- Assist with image data curation, processing, and analysis.
- Communicate results/findings; draft and edit scientific abstracts, presentations, and journal articles. Present work at workshops, seminars, and conference proceedings within and outside of CCHMC.
QualificationsEducation/Experience: PhD degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, electrical engineering, or related field.
Required: - Extensive experience in machine learning and deep learning development using Scikit-learn, deep learning package (e.g., Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch).
- Strong communication skills in written and verbal English, and ability to work both independently and as a team member to accomplish core objectives.
Preferred: - Medical image research experience.
- Biomedical statistical analysis experience.
- Strong programming skills with Linux-based Python and familiarity with containerization.
- Multiprocessing experience using GPUs for training and inference.
