The American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), the world’s largest technical society for nondestructive testing (NDT), is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for maintaining and managing ASNT’s accreditations with ANSI, specific to being a certification body per ISO17024, Standards Development Organization and ANSI/ISO Technical Advisory Group (TAG) administrator. This role has no direct staff supervision responsibilities, but works collaboratively with staff, contractors, and volunteers to achieve program objectives. This role reports to the Director of Standards and Accreditation. This is a remote work position with domestic travel requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including but not limited to members, employers, volunteers, staff, contractors, suppliers, code and standards organizations, and other societies.
- Maintains the ASNT quality program for compliance with ISO17024 requirements. This includes but not limited to developing annual reports for ANSI, management review meetings and maintaining the internal audit program.
- Serve as secretary for the Standards Council (StC), including interpretation subcommittees and the administration of the ANSI/ISO TC135 TAG committee.
- Maintains a detailed understanding of quality systems, development of standards and ANSI/ISO TAG requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Position requires up to 10% travel.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or field relating to the products being developed.
- Three to five years of knowledge and experience of Quality Management Systems, ISO17024 and standards development experience preferred.
- Certified Qualified Auditor (CQA).
- Experience in psychometrics is a plus.
