Position Overview
Planning, execution and documentation of product and system tests, taking into account product and application-specific requirements. Analysis and communication of test results.
Job Responsibilities
- This position will be part of the Quality Team, reporting directly to the Product Quality Manager.
- Work closely with Quality Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering and Product Development personnel to verify that newly developed products meet all applicable specifications.
- Participation in the creation of testing strategies and plans for newly developed products and changes to existing products, including preparation of effort estimates for plan execution.
- Creation of test setups and execution of product and system tests.
- Documentation of test plans and test results; experience with Siemens Polarion a plus.
- Participation in the conception, development and implementation of new test equipment and automation of existing test equipment.
- Facilitate maintenance and servicing of test equipment.
- Execution of test failure analysis for newly developed products.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering to assure that relevant new product testing protocols are applied to serial production.
Candidate Requirements
- BS in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Test Engineering role
- Prior experience in an electronic products manufacturing environment
- Experience in supporting product development highly desirable
- Solid electronics and mechanical test and trouble shooting skills
- Working knowledge of electrical testing equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM’s, data acquisition, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- ASQ Certification(s) a plus - CQE, CQT, CRE, CSSGB
- Self-driven and willing to acquire new skills to grow in the position

This position is based in the ifm prover – Malvern, PA manufacturing facility, which designs and manufactures temperature and flow sensor products. This Quality Engineering role is key to the greater ifm’s success in the United States.
