Responsibilities
- Develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales of the organization’s Industrial products and/or services.
- Generating new business and ensuring growth of existing accounts. Assess potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs.
- Identify and establish relationships with key existing customers supporting current business activity as well as creating new sales opportunities.
- Establish working relationships with principals, traveling and setting up sales calls supporting all activities in region.
- Consistently prospecting to identify new contacts/opportunities, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline. Telemarketing, cold calling, appointment setting and proactive engagement of sales region.
- Visit customers on behalf of ECI’s products and services in the assigned territory for the specific purpose of driving incremental growth.
- Make joint sales calls with management and principals upon request/demand.
- Engage in technical discussions with customers, perform product demonstrations and presentations that differentiate key selling advantages to meet customers’ needs to support and build sales.
- Research and develop efficient methods to present solutions showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing manufacturer’s products.
- Work closely with inside staff, management and principals learning the details of ECI’s product lines, systems, processes, and tools. Utilize principals tooling to provide customers with solutions and solving their technical problems.
- Keep management informed of all activity via CRM, including opportunities and presentations to clients, communicating customer feedback on future developments, quoted, and booked sales.
- Maintain a home office to allow for regular two-way communication. (High speed internet and cell phone coverage at your residence is required).
- Remain knowledgeable and up to date on changes and developments in the industry.
- Ability to learn ECI’s CRM and mileage reimbursement programs and use on a laptop or an iPad.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
- Prefer 1-3 years’ technical sales experience.
- Must carry a strong technical aptitude and curiosity. Knowledge of instrumentation, electrical heat trace, gas detection, and/or valves is a major plus.
- Industrial Automation or Process Industry experience. Understand industry stakeholders (End Users, Integrators, and/or Engineering Firms).
- Passionate, energetic, and fanatical about helping customers succeed. You are a problem solver and a trusted advisor. You demonstrate professional sales acumen. - This position requires that the candidate live in the greater Philadelphia area.
- Local travel is required. Occasional overnight travel required for training and meetings.
