POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Engineer (QE) will report to the Quality Manager and be responsible for providing support and training as it pertains to the quality systems of Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS). This position will manage the testing, monitoring, and inspecting processes pertaining to these systems. They will develop, manage and maintain the TrojanLitho’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to include upgrading quality processes and procedures. The Quality Engineer will offer administrative support to ensure ISO certification and compliance. This position will assist in the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) and Corrective Action (C/A) processes. The Quality Engineer will schedule and complete internal audits for the QMS, FSMS and EMS systems. This Quality Engineer position will work with departments, collect data, analyze customer data, and resolve supplier issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support the Quality manager with the NCR process and maintenance
- Completes root-cause analysis and implements corrective action and engages in preventative action for process & product related non-conformances
- Ensures compliance with ISO standards throughout the manufacturing facility
- Acts as an internal and supplier auditor
- Operates as Plant ISO 22000 compliance auditor
- ISO 9001, 22000, 14001, SFI & FSC external audit participant
- Quality Control inspector
- Serves as QMS Trainer and provides ongoing project support
- Provides quality reporting and effective distribution of information
- Responsible for updates and reviews of the QMS SOPs
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 2-year degree required and a 4-year degree in engineering preferred
- 1 year experience managing and or completing NCRs, Corrective Action & Preventative Action (CAPA), SCAR systems and maintenance
- 1 year internal and supplier auditing experience
- Printing business preferred
- 1 year ISO 22000 experience preferred

- Ability to remain extremely organized, while handling diverse projects concurrently
- Strong technical skills, with advanced MS Excel skills
- Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to present information in various ways and to various audiences effectively
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand 8 to 12 hours daily, and bend, squat, kneel, reach, push and pull
