Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine are searching for individuals with expertise in advanced analytics, computer science and informatics. We wish to recruit a junior investigator interested applying methods such as predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, data science, and natural language processing to design and test health care delivery system innovations. This individual will hold an academic appointment as an instructor or assistant professor in the James M. Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence and become part of a team focused on the application of these methods in pediatric gastroenterology. The role is anticipated to include independent research to advance in their respective field, as well as working across divisions to collaborate with improvers, innovators, and researchers to advance knowledge about how to use advanced analytics to improve the health of individuals and populations. This position may include joint appointments in the Divisions of Gastroenterology, Biomedical Informatics, and/or Data Management, Biostatistics and Epidemiology.

Successful candidates will have a PhD, a record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications, and evidence of the ability to attract extramural funding. Preference will be given to candidates with creativity, independence, and high motivation; experience in managing innovation and analytics initiatives, collaborating with faculty, trainees, and research staff; and proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
