Lawrence Technological University’s College of Engineering invites applications for the position of Director of Engineering Entrepreneurship (DOEE). This is a full-time faculty staff position with teaching and curriculum development/management responsibilities.
The Director of Engineering Entrepreneurship (DOEE) is a catalyst for instilling a spirit of entrepreneurship within the University’s highly regarded College of Engineering that produces the next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators, and business leaders.
The DOEE leads in growing the College’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by creating new educational programs, securing mentors, identifying industry partners, obtaining student project opportunities, guiding students, collaborating with University leaders, and acquiring funding in the form of grants, sponsorships, and individual donations.
Among other responsibilities, the DOEE assists in coordinating, implementing and enhancing all courses within the College’s Entrepreneurial Engineering Design Curriculum. This requires him/her to create curriculum, coordinate student projects, teach classes, mentor students, manage course content, use learning management software, and manage studio equipment.
The DOEE may also assist with other university innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives that improve LTU’s overall Entrepreneurial Ecosystem.
The DOEE reports to, and works with, the Director of the Entrepreneurial Engineering Curriculum.
