Research Flex Staff - 3184:
Provide, under direct supervision, support for specified research projects. Our research team is focused on improving the health of families by implementing behavioral health interventions in the context of the community. We are looking for someone with experience in health coaching who can be responsible for delivering a family-focused intervention.
Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experiences: Experience with community-based research trials preferred. A background/interest in biomedical and behavioral research is a must. Content expertise is required in health coaching around healthy living, healthy nutrition, physical activity, sleep, parenting, and use of the built environment. Our research group flourishes because of a supportive team environment, so working as a part of a team is an essential component of this job. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
Key Functions and Expected Performances: * Facilitate small-group or one-on-onecoaching sessions for both parents and children * Conduct health coaching over the phone or using virtual platforms when needed * Adhere to study protocols around intervention implementation, including fidelity monitoring * Work well with other team members, including adhering to professional communication standards. * Interventionists should be organized and self-directed. * Compile end of shift reports and weekly update summaries. * Have respectful interactions with parent-child dyads, many of whom represent underserved populations * Ensure clear communication between academic and community partners, as well as our project staff. * Demonstrate an understanding of acceptable procedures and techniques.
