Responsible for the management and supervision of the electric utilities distribution designer group which provides engineering support in the design, construction and maintenance of the department's distribution facilities.The salary range for this position is $35.44- $54.95 per hour with a hiring range of $35.44 - $45.19, depending on qualifications and experience. As the supervisor of our electric distribution design group, you will be the point person translating paper design concepts to physical design infrastructure and will lead a knowledgeable group of designers committed to proving the best quality power to the residents of our Loveland community.

Education and/or experience:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, construction management or related field from an accredited college or university and three (3) years work experience in the electrical field, or following areas: design, drafting, construction, maintenance and/or installation of an electric distribution system, or other related work or a combination of education and experience required. Two (2) years of responsible supervisory experience with hiring and managing employee relations required. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Licensure and/or certifications:Must possess a valid driver’s license.Project Management Profesional (PMP) certification preferred.
Material and equipment directly used:Standard office equipment, safety equipment, surveying and drafting equipment, calculator, 2-way radio, telephone, cellular telephone, vehicle, laser distance meter
Working conditions and physical requirements: Work is generally performed outside in all types of temperatures and weather conditions while being exposed to excessive noise from machines. May involve pushing, pulling, bending, stooping and kneeling on a frequent basis, and working in confined spaces such as trenches. Moderate physical activity required by moving and positioning objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and walking, climbing and hiking on uneven and slippery surfaces. in all types of weather conditions. Subject to call back work, and must be capable of responding in an emergency situation upon short notice. May be required to carry a pager or cellular phone at designated times. Work may involve long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends. etc.
