The City of Austin is seeking to fill an Engineer A or B position for the Austin Transportation Department Right-of-Way (ROW) Division. The ROW Division focuses on managing permitting, engineering review, and inspections within the ROW. The Engineer A or B will assist the ROW Engineering Supervisor in leading the daily operations for the engineering section, including the following:
The Engineer A/B will be critical in serving as a focal point in ROW engineering operations, ensuring compliance and project delivery of all city, franchise, private, public, and special events within the ROW.
The ideal candidate will bring the following preferred qualifications:
Engineer AGraduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job, plus four (4) years engineering experience acquired either before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer
Licenses and Certifications Required:Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas
Engineer BGraduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to engineering, plus six (6) years experience in engineering, acquired either before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer.
