The Austin Transportation Department’s (ATD) Project Delivery Division is seeking a full-time Program Manager, to deliver a wide range of Capital Projects using 2016, 2018 and 2020 Mobility Bond funds, in the areas of Bikeways, Vision Zero/Safety and Transit Enhancement projects.
ATD has recently formed a new Project Delivery Division that will be responsible for leading implementation of projects for several local mobility programs in ATD’s portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of this new team to build and grow ATD’s capabilities in project implementation.
The Program Manager will lead and provide strategic direction to multiple work teams to successfully deliver high-need, time-critical projects in service to the Department’s multi-modal safety and mobility goals.
The ideal candidate will bring sound skills in project management and delivery, can work in a bustling environment, communicate effectively and can manage multiple tasks and deliverables concurrently.

This position requires graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Planning, or a field related to the job, plus five (5) years of experience conducting activities related to capital budgeting or planning initiatives two (2) of which were in a lead or /supervisory capacity.
A Master's degree in a field related to Business Administration, Public Administration or related field plus three (3) years of experience Two (2) of which were in a lead or supervisory capacity may substitute for the required education and experience.
