This is professional and technical work related to the operation of Traffic Management Center, support of the County’s Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), traffic signal operations projects, studies and other technical projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in civil engineering or infrastructure construction/inspection. A Master’s Degree in Engineering may substitute for one year of required experience. Must be a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Florida or have the ability to obtain within 12 months from date of hire.
Job Based Competencies: Microsoft Office Suite; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Outlook. Synchro and SIM Traffic, Tru-Traffic, SIDRAW and ATMS.now is desired. Knowledge of Traffic Signal cabinet/controller’s maintenance practices.
