Contribute to the delivery of the Department of Public Works mission in providing professional public works services to manage natural and built systems, and foster community health, safety, and sustainability. The Engineering Division of the department is seeking qualified candidates to be considered for the Water Resources Protection Administrator position who are highly motivated and who strive for success by demonstrating Charlottesville's Core Values of Leadership, Trust, Creativity, Respect, and Excellence.The Administrator performs complex professional tasks associated with the management and prioritization of the Water Resources Protection Program (WRRP), including serving a key role in the coordination, development, and delivery of the core program components and associated capital projects. Provides customer service to Stormwater Utility ratepayers and coordinates complaint response, tracking, and communication. Provides support to the City stormwater systems operations and maintenance, as well as Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) and Total Daily Maximum Load (TMDL) compliance efforts and the City's green infrastructure program. Works closely and in coordination with technical staff, other divisions and other departments to manage, integrate, and/or coordinate the various components of the WRPP. Position reports to the City Engineer.The salary amount will be between $58,848.55 and $85,321.60 annually. Starting offer is based on applicable education, experience, and internal equity. This is a full-time, exempt, position.
