The City of Austin Transportation Department (ATD) is seeking two innovative people with strong interest in safety and mobility for public transit and multimodal transportation to work in our Transportation Engineering Division. This is an exciting opportunity in a bustling work environment to implement national best-practice in transportation engineering, with one position focused on improving safety and mobility for all users through innovative roadway design solutions, and the other position focused on enhancing transit speed, reliability, safety and access, and operations in Austin.
These positions will lead or assist with the following duties:
Contribute to the development of a comprehensive plan that identifies and prioritizes transit enhancement projects for ATD’s Transit Enhancement Program (one of two positions).
The ideal candidate will bring the following preferred qualifications:
Graduate Engineer AGraduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job.Licenses and Certifications Required:None.
Graduate Engineer BBachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline with at least two (2) years of engineering experience.Licenses and Certifications Required:Texas: Engineer – In Training Certification.
