This position is located in the Maintenance Engineering Office and provides technical leadership, direction of, and/or performs assignments involving matters pertaining to transmission lines and/or substations.
Creates detailed electrical designs and drawings (or reviews the designs of others) for substation equipment repairs, replacements and additions. Supports field maintenance activities by developing testing and trouble-shooting procedures, personally directing craftsmen on complex technical activities, and evaluating and documenting test results. Responsible for the overall testing, commissioning, and documentation of assigned power system upgrades and equipment replacement projects. Represents the Region to interact with other organizations in the industry including other utilities to coordinate resources, initiate agreements, and develop project plans and project schedules to reach engineering solutions. Acts as technical representative during commission and energization of new equipment or changeover from existing to replacement or additional control and relaying schemes.
