This non-tenure track 12-month position will primarily support the undergraduate Biological Engineering program in the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department at the University of Arkansas. The successful candidate will teach selected undergraduate and graduate Biological Engineering courses, provide support in recruiting, and teaching other undergraduate courses, serve as a liaison with the Freshman Engineering Program, advise undergraduates and assist with processes for ABET accreditation of the undergraduate program. The successful candidate’s teaching, research, extension and/or industry experience should complement and enhance the existing biological engineering academic programs, curriculum and department strengths in sustainable water, energy and food systems.
Required – PhD in discipline such as biological, bio-systems, agricultural, ecological, or environmental engineering or closely related field
Preferred –BS degree from ABET or equivalent engineering program and experience in teaching, research, service, extension and/or industry in the sustainable management of water, energy and food systems.
