The Capital Projects Services (CPS) in the Department of Land Use and Transportation is currently hiring two (2) Project Managers. This is a group of professional and technical experts who administer the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects throughout Washington County. These projects include roads, bikeways, bridges and sidewalks, and all are intended to improve safety, reduce bottlenecks, and address transportation demands. Successful candidates will be required to coordinate with a variety of professionals, technicians, contractors, stakeholders, agencies and citizens.
The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidates will be resourceful problem solvers and adept team-builders. They have experience preparing specifications, reviewing plans, developing budgets, and leading a team to meet project goals. They have an understanding of permits and regulations that impact transportation projects and are comfortable with current technology and learning new software. They enjoy working independently and have an interest in being involved with a variety of projects. Additionally, they have strong communication skills and are organized and detail oriented.
