Lead and direct the Service Delivery Department in support of agency and division goals for service quality and efficiency. Responsibilities include overseeing the analysis and performance of service planning (normal, degraded, emergency, special event, track access), schedule making, operator assignments, workforce utilization, and cost analysis. Additionally, collaborate with Operations and Customer Service to improve schedule reliability, on-time performance and interaction with operators to help identify scheduling issues that may impact operator performance or diminish the quality of service. Direct production of all schedules for bus, streetcar, and rail service, including service for major and special events and assignment of bus, streetcar, and rail fleets among operations facilities. Direct TriMet's workforce utilization and planning for operators.Ensure a commitment to safety through effective leadership, role modeling and implementing practices that demonstrate safety is a fundamental value and a priority in all aspects of work. Perform related duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in Transportation/Urban Planning, Statistics, Transportation/Logistics, or a related field is required. Master's degree in related field desirable.A minimum of eleven (11) years total credited experience.* Five (5) years in a management-level position in bus and rail operations, scheduling, service planning, special event service planning, track access planning, and manpower planning. Two (2) years overseeing a major transportation function desired.Valid Oregon Class C driver license (required).Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.*The amount of credit a candidate receives for prior years of experience is based on the relevancy of that experience to the required or preferred prerequisites of the job description. Experience is prorated based on hours worked. LRHR assigns and validates the "credited experience".
