Performs advanced technical and managerial work directing and overseeing the administration, planning, design, and construction of a variety of major public works transportation facilities, including streets, bikeways, highways, pedestrian safety countermeasures, ADA improvements, flood control, storm water drainage facilities and multi-use trails. Oversees all activities of the division including traffic engineering, operations and maintenance. Responsible to communicate with and present to the public and decision making bodies frequently.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction design, or related field.
Six (6) years of experience in engineering, construction inspection and design, two years of which must be in a supervisory capacity.
One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
