The Optimization Analyst will work in the Portfolio and Resource Optimization group analyzing and implementing near-term strategies within the NCEMC portfolio. Assists in executing the strategy for the Virtual Power Plant (VPP) to meet the Brighter Future goal. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide qualitative and quantitative backed solutions.
Academic and Trade Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required. Degree in related field such as Engineering, Finance, or Analytics preferred. Experience with Utilities, Energy Services, Demand Response, Trading, or Cooperatives is a plus.
3 to 7 years in Analytics, Energy Trading, or Electric Utility Operations
Basic electric utility knowledge and analytical problem-solving strategies required.
