A postdoc position is available at Synthetic and Systems Biology Innovation Hub and Dr. Joshua Yuan’s lab in Texas A&M University. The candidate will work on systems and synthetic biology, in particular, pertaining to plant biology applications. He or she will carry out proteomics, metabolomics, and transcriptomics analysis to derive regulatory networks and further investigate essential gene functions. He or she may also work on key enzymes regulating lignin polymerization or designing novel pathways to efficiently utilize photosynthetic carbon for high-value product manufacturing in planta. The scientist will have enormous opportunities to collaborate with researchers across the campus using the ‘omics’ platforms under the direction of the Director for Synthetic and Systems Biology Innovation Hub. The position will also work on the implementation of the seed projects in proteomics through collaboration, and will play a role in management. The position involves following functions, tailored based on the candidate’s experience.
