A Senior Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for the successful completion of a wide variety of geotechnical engineering projects through independent action and the use of reasonable judgement. S/he nurtures existing client relationships and develops new client relationships primarily in assigned market sectors (i.e., Transportation, Commercial/Retail Development, Energy, Industrial, Water/Waste Water, Municipal, etc.). As a senior staff member, s/he provides leadership and technical mentoring to other department and office staff members, with a primary focus on mentoring Staff- and Project-level Engineers. S/he is responsible for the financial success of the projects managed, and contributes to the financial success of the department, office, and the firm. S/he also reduces liability by managing risk and fostering mutually beneficial client relationships.
