Pioneer Community Power is seeking a Legislative and Regulatory Manager
The Legislative and Regulatory Manager is responsible for organizing, reviewing, and participating in the performance of regulatory and legislative matters on behalf of Pioneer Community Energy, with particular emphasis on representing Pioneer’s interest at the California Public Utilities Commission and identifying and promoting legislation to further Pioneer’s interests. Duties include:
Qualified candidates will possess knowledge of Community Choice Aggregation regulatory and legislative issues, California electric utility regulatory issues, CPUC regulatory practices, protocols and procedures, California utility rate design, electric resource planning, demand resource solutions and regulatory relations and have the ability to perform complex legislative and regulatory analyses to effectively represent Pioneer’s legislative and regulatory positions and policies with state agencies, regulators, CalCCA, other organizations, and the general public.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
Five years of experience performing similar duties.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Public Administration, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. JD preferred.
