The Construction Project Manager is responsible for construction of major and complex Transportation CIP projects and programs. Manages the negotiation of contract scope, budget and schedule with selected consultant. Ensures contracts include all necessary work scope. Assists in providing on-site resolution of construction or design problems and coordinates with other agencies for permitting and project certifications as needed. Prepares and presents Board presentations for construction contracts and project updates. Works with County Public Information to provide media releases and/or participates in interviews with the media
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in Engineering, Project Management, or related field. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in project management or capital improvement project (CIP) management; Project management experience can substitute for education on a year for year basis depending on type of experience.
Preferred Qualifications: CTQP Qualifications in Concrete, Asphalt, Earthworks, Pile Driving, Drilled Shafts, or Final Estimates is preferred. Intermediate or Advanced Maintenance of traffic (MOT) is preferred. FDEP Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector certification is preferred
