manage projects and staff, direct and prepare landscape and habitat restoration construction drawings, details, and technical specifications; construction techniques and practices; conduct design support services in the form of study plan development, data collection, calculations, numerical modeling, and written design documentation, as well as similar analyses used for environmental compliance, resource management planning, and permitting. You will work on a variety of project types including river, floodplain and wetland restoration, habitat mitigation, climate adaptation/landscape resiliency projects and public recreation and access; manage tasks and projects, maintain client relationships, perform necessary scope, budget and schedule development and oversight as part of marketing and administering project work. You will oversee and coordinate the work of WRA staff and necessary subcontractors; lead and conduct field assessments, general geomorphic and stream channel characterization, topographic survey and similar measurements to support assessments and design, including installation and monitoring of field instruments; oversee and perform analyses using spreadsheet tools and numerical modeling software of parameters and criteria such as: watershed hydrology and peak flows, irrigation demand, water balance, hydraulics, erosion/sedimentation, sediment transport, streambank stability; review products and help ensure compliance with established AutoCAD, drafting standards, and file management procedures; produce and provide review of plans, profiles, and details for design drawings including grading, planting, irrigation, erosion and sediment control, and other types of plans and construction details; interact and work iteratively with restoration ecologists, biologists and other specialists regarding design guidelines and performance targets; oversee and review quantities, unit costs, cost estimates and technical specifications; create and review technical graphics and/or illustrative figures; write and review design reports including technical methods, assumptions, results, recommendations and limitations sections; provide implementation oversight and post-construction observation; and complete other duties as assigned.
