Carry out extensive analytical characterization of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies to support Biologics Discovery research at MRL. Responsibilities include the following: analyze proteins using several chromatographic and biophysical characterization methods; develop new analytical and biophysical assays and optimize methods currently in place to assess the developability potential of Biologic molecules; purify proteins and antibodies utilizing a variety of approaches; remain current with the latest technologies, particularly in the area of analytical characterization of Biologics; actively bring forward, evaluate and apply new concepts as appropriate to continuously improve functional area capabilities and methods in place; write internal reports and give presentations on technical and scientific findings.
Must have an MS in Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry or closely related field and 2 years of industry experience with monoclonal antibody analytical characterization; high-throughput kinetics and epitope binning assays; and using biophysical techniques to assess developability potential of monoclonal antibodies, including SEC, HIC, DLS, RP-HPLC and LC-MS. We will also accept a BS and 5 years of experience in stated areas.
