The Mechanical Engineer at MIT Lincoln Laboratory’s Facility Service Department’s (FED) will provide engineering support for facility projects, primarily HVAC, piping, plumbing, process, and fire suppression systems. This position will be responsible for the design of new, and modifications to the existing infrastructure systems within the facility for offices and laboratories including equipment layout and hardware selection in an R&D environment.
The Facility Service Department’s (FSD) engineering team is a full-service MEP consulting engineering department, knowledgeable in the latest regulatory requirements and building codes. We provide engineering assessments, design drawings, bid documents and construction administration for a wide variety of projects from small renovations to complete laboratories. Responsibilities
Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
