We are currently recruiting for a Performance Improvement Program Manager. This position will be located in one of our three offices; Greenville; Durham; Winston-Salem.
Job Summary: The Performance Improvemnt (PI) Program Manager manages CDS’ continuous quality improvement program and associated activities. The PI Program Manager interacts with all levels of the organization to promote continuous improvement, integrate use of Lean tools, and support other improvement-related activities. Under the general direction of the CQIO, the PI Program Manager ensures consistent, effective, and productive output of the continuous improvement program.
Actively contributes to CDS’ core purpose, Making Donation Happen. Exhibits CDS’ mission to maximize the gift of organ and tissue donation by providing excellent service to internal and external customers.
Working with management, implement and complete Process Improvement projects and other activities that execute on the organizational strategic plan
Develop and maintain internal Lean training program, including new hire and on-going training
Provide regular reports of data and actions to measure progress against the organizational objectives
Develop staff-level experts capable of driving continuous improvement in their areas
Lead the Quality Council including developing the agenda, facilitating meetings, and directing Council’s focus on continuous improvement in all aspects of CDS operations
Establish a library of learning materials to be available to staff
Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, occasional lifting (up to twenty pounds), finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and visual acuity.
Work Environment: Normal office environment. Regular travel between offices.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience utilizing principles and methods of lean and continuous improvement required; certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or another quality improvement system preferred; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence & persuade decision makers and motivate team members. Strong orientation to customer service; self-starter who can work with or without direct supervision; must be proactive in approaching job responsibilities. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Previous supervisory or training experience preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare environmen
