This position meets the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers criteria for Washington State. During the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order, most of this work can be performed remotely. The department’s offices are located at Pier 69, on the waterfront in downtown Seattle.PURPOSE:The Structural Design Engineer supports Seaport and Airport projects under the guidance of a Professional Engineer in the Port of Seattle Engineering Department. Working through the planning, design, permitting and construction phases, the Structural Design Engineer furthers the capital development of the Port and acts as a technical representative of the Port.
