Performs transportation planning duties, including preparing, reviewing, and directing the review of traffic impact analysis studies and reports consistent with applicable Federal, State, and County standards and determining compliance with the County's transportation policies and regulations. Performs detailed analyses for the transportation network using pertinent software applications such as FSUTMS, TRANSPLAN, HCS, SYNCHRO, etc.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field. Minimum of six (6) years engineering experience related to area of assignment. Must possess current Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) License (may consider out-of-state P.E. License, with ability to transfer to Florida within one (1) year of hire date. Minimum of one (1) year as Engineer of Record. AutoCAD experience desired. Supervisory experience desired. Knowledge of principles, practices, and objectives of transportation planning and travel demand modeling is necessary. Ability to understand and prepare input data for simulation models, analyze model output, and clearly communicate results.
