The Department of Pediatrics Division of Child Development at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a full time Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. The developmental pediatrician will provide outpatient services at various USF Health clinics.
The Assistant Professor will also participate in the teaching of residents, and medical students in clinical medicine is an essential function of this position. To perform this position, the candidate will need to obtain and maintain a FL medical license, maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan, and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals he/she is assigned to perform clinical duties. RESPONSIBILITIES: •Teaching Duties: Participate in the education and training of medical students and residents.
•Research Duties: Participate in research programs to expand the scholarly activities of the division.
•Clinical Duties: The candidate will provide outpatient services at multiple USF Health sites.
•Other Duties: Professional development and other duties as assigned by Program Director.
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in patient care, teaching, academic research, and service. Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in referred and other professional journals. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, and be eligible for full unrestricted Florida Medical License.
