PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Planning Manager I will perform a wide range of planning duties and provide technical assistance and support in managing regional, multi-modal transportation, capital program development and environmental review projects for the continued growth and viability of Metrolink.

This is the first level of the Planning Manager Series. At this level, incumbents may independently represent the organization. May be responsible for a specialty program area that has a major impact on the organization.

Bachelor's Degree in Urban or Transportation Planning, Engineering (Civil, Transportation,Structural, Industrial, etc), Public Policy, Business Administration, Public Administration,Economics, Project / Construction Management, or a related area.• A minimum of (5) years of work experience in transportation planning and project development.• A combination of training, education and or experience that provides the required knowledge,skills and abilities may be considered when determining minimum qualifications. Advancedrelevant coursework may also substitute for a portion of required experience.• A valid Class "C" California driver's license with a satisfactory driving record of no more than 3moving violations and no DUI's within the last 3 years.
