The job: The geologist specialist assists in the development of geotechnical and hazardous materials investigation programs by conducting surface and subsurface geotechnical (soil/rock) investigations, and provides sources of construction materials for transportation facilities construction and maintenance.
In this role, the successful candidate will perform geologic reconnaissance, collect soil/rock samples, analyze and interpret geologic and hydrologic data, produce maps and cross sections for contract plans, write memos and technical reports that describe conditions, and provide construction and maintenance recommendations.
