The Nuclear Medicine Division of the Department of Radiology in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas is seeking a double board certified or board eligible Radiologist in Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology. Faculty candidates must hold an M.D. or equivalent degree, be eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and either eligible or certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) or the ABR with a CAQ in Nuclear Medicine. PET/CT experience is required. The applicant must be eligible for medical licensure in Arkansas.
Our clinical practice includes a high volume of PET/CT and a busy nuclear medicine service with a full range of therapeutic procedures, cardiac nuclear medicine, and general diagnostic nuclear imaging. The Division affords excellent opportunities for research, deriving especially from our strong collaborative relationships with the Department of Biomedical Informatics, the Winthrop Rockefeller Cancer Institute, and the Myeloma Institute. The Division has five full-time Nuclear Medicine specialists, with 40 residents and fellows in ACGME-approved categories. Two more faculty members have been recruited and will arrive in the spring and summer of 2020. We were among the first programs in the country to list and fill a combined diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine residency. Our facilities include 5 gamma cameras, SPECT/CT, and 2 PET/CT scanners.
Our radiology faculty offer expertise across key divisions including Body Imaging, Breast Imaging, Body MRI/MSK, Interventional Neuroradiology, Interventional Radiology, Neuroradiology, Radiology Sciences and Pediatric Radiology.
