The Department of Bioengineering and the Division of Regenerative Medicine at the University of California, San Diego are dedicated to bringing the advancement of scientific research in stem cells and regenerative medicine to the forefront. We invite applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position (Assistant Professor) jointly appointed across the Departments of Bioengineering and Medicine. This initiative in regenerative medicine seeks to find a candidate who will bring novel approaches and ideas to this cutting-edge field.
A PhD (or advancement to candidacy) in Biomedical Engineering, Cell Biology, Regenerative Medicine, or related fields is required for this position. Preferred candidates should have a track record of publications in internationally recognized journals and sub-specialty in related fields and will have expertise in multiple areas related to stem cells and bioengineering in order to continue their investigation of the complex relationship between tissue/cells regeneration and biomaterial scaffolds. Applications received by January 15, 2020 will be given full consideration; however the position is open until February 29, 2020 or until filled.
